Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum

Discover one of the most fascinating historic houses in England. Built by Merton Russell-Cotes as an extravagant birthday gift for his wife, Annie, it celebrates the couple’s passion for art and travel, world cultures and natural history. Lower Gardens

This section of the gardens is quite short, it runs from the pier to the town centre, but there is always lots going on. Year-round attractions include mini golf, a bandstand, refreshment kiosks,  an aviary, art exhibition and the Bournemouth Eye tethered balloon.

Seasonal events in this section of the gardens include the summer Kids Free Fun Festival and the 100 year old traditional Candlelight Illuminations, which attracts thousands of visitors.  In the winter we have Christmas activities and an ice rink.
